Are you, or someone you love, starting to forget things?
Join us for an open house for individuals concerned about their memory loss. We’ll perform a brief memory and cognitive assessment to identify serious memory impairment.
Ask yourself if in the past few years you’ve noticed concerns such as:
- Becoming lost driving
- Repeating questions in conversations
- Finding yourself unable to come up with a specific word, such as trying to say the word “car” but having to say instead “the thing you drive to work in.”
- Forgetting the names of people you’ve met recently
Have other people noticed changes in your memory?
Problems such as these may be early signs of dementia. Wake Research is investigating a drug for people with Alzheimer’s or vascular dementia, and is trying to identify potential participants. Participating in the memory screening does not obligate you to participate in the research study. The whole appointment will take about 2 hours, and there is no cost to you or your insurance.
Contact us at (919) 781-2514 to schedule an appointment.
